Benitora: The strongest guys want to take on those who are just as strong. That's natural.
Kyōshirō Mibu: I don't think it's that difficult to die. But to go on living, that's much harder.
Do Zery.
Mavis Vermilion: You can't experience the whole world through books alone! You have to look, touch, feel!
Natsume: If you just run away from your past and keep running, do you think there will be true forgiveness waiting for you ahead?
Dio Brando: Humans live hoping to conquer their anxieties and fears, and attain peace of mind. Seeking fame, controlling others, and acquiring wealth are all done to achieve peace of mind. Marriage and friendship are also pursued as means of attaining peace of mind. When humans say they wish to help others, or that a thing is done for love or justice... It's all merely to give themselves peace of mind. To achieve peace of mind is the goal of all mankind.
Toriko: Limits... Shit like that doesn't even exist! As long as you never stop walking forward... all there is, is growth!
Izumi Shin'ichi: So in the end, it's hypocritical for us to love Earth without loving ourselves.
Mine Fujiko: There's no reward without risk, no wealth or fame, or love.
Hyōdō Kazutaka: For just that small sum of money before their eyes, people can endure a lot. The rich make use of that quality to lead comfortable lives, being waited upon by others. A king is not king on his own. If the poor unite and rebel, declaring that they don't need money, the king will be vanquished. But the poor pursue money in the hopes of becoming king. This strengthens the existence of the current king. As long you don't break out of that fruitless paradox of wanting money, you can never overthrow the king but be chained forever. The king too, tries to prevent revolt by giving everyone a relative sense of abundance and wealth.
Reinhard von Lohengramm: Genes determine everything? What nonsense. Individuals are not responsible for their genes. Individuals are individuals. Family lines or genetics have nothing to do with the abilities of the individual. People who believe that genes decide everything are truly worthless people who can only do what they are told. People who boast of their ancestry have nothing that they can boast about in themselves. Those people are the ones that I truly disrespect.
Oskar von Reuenthal: Regardless of the color of eyes or skin the color of blood is the same for everyone, isn't it?
Dusty Attemborough: If it were a third-rate TV anime a dead protagonist can come back to life at the producers' convenience. But the world we live in is not such a convenient place. Lost lives will never return. Because of it, we live in a world where a life is an irreplaceable existence.
Reinhard von Lohengramm: There is great satisfaction in fighting for the sake of gaining power, but it is joyless to fight for the sake of maintaining it.
Reinhard von Lohengramm: Something that's supposed to die and doesn't... will eventually rot away, whether it's a man or a nation.
Do Yanga.
Alex Cazerne: It's an absurd luxury to be a bachelor past the age of thirty-one. Don't you think it's unforgivable anti-social behavior?
Julian Mintz: I don't want to die while still young enough to be called "boy".
Yang Wen-li: By causing a big storm and hiding during the storm, he's never been damaged himself. Before you know it, he'll be exercising even more authority. The thought leaves me panic stricken. And then, I had a nasty thought. What good is democracy if it gives power to a man like that?
Bernhard von Schneider: Prince Braunschweig is unlucky. But since our future is in his hands aren't we unlucky, too?
Asuna: What's the difference between the real world and the virtual one?
Kirito: The amount of information. That's all.
Yang Wen-li: Kids grow by exploiting adults.
Reinhard von Lohengramm: The stars are good. Unmoving, they keep watch over us, forever shining, the only constant left to us.
Beerus: Before creation, there must be destruction.
Sora: We hereby declare that we will live as the weak, fight as the weak, and as the weak, we will destroy the strong! As we once were, and as we will always be. Accept the fact that we are the weakest race. Accept that we are the weakest race, one that can become anything because we were born with nothing!
Sakata Gintoki: Wanna know the only way to survive when caught in a spiderweb? You eat off the spider.
Kazama Ryūichi: The thing is, talent isn't something that only goes to those who want it.
Miime: I am the woman who gave her life to Harlock. If he goes to the depths of Hell, then so shall I.
Daiba Tadashi: Is the child of an alien and a human being an alien or a human?
Kiryūin Satsuki: As long as there is breath left in me, Satsuki Kiryuin has a chance at victory!
Fuwa Aika: The beginning is the end, and the end is the beginning. Well then, let us begin again. And to each, their own tale.
Fuwa Mahiro: To you, life was just something you acted out and ended, all according to someone else's script. That's why you were always quoting Shakespeare... However, Aika, I say that you were wrong! You did what you shouldn't have, and didn't do as you should have. Because you relied on someone else's script, you were wrong. [...] I won't live my life by another person's script. Not by "Hamlet" or "The Tempest". I don't know how many years in the future it will be... But I'll write and act my own ending.
Tomii Ryūnosuke: If we are truly Earth's genes, the purpose of space exploration is because mutation is necessary.
Tomii Ryūnosuke: Michael Ende once compared humans to cancer cells, but I believe that humans are germ cells. However, there is the possibility that any of us could become the cancer cell that destroys Earth.
Tomii Ryūnosuke: The American thinker Buckminster Fuller once called our planet "Spaceship Earth." On the other hand, British scientist James Lovelock stated that our planet was a life form named Gaia. I was always puzzled by the contrast between spaceship and life form. But the British scientist Richard Dawkins helped tie it together. Humans can be considered the Earth's genes. The planet is trying to self-replicate. That is natural behavior for a life form.
Fuwa Aika: Summer stars are so unscrupulous. They shine without thought or care. [...] They try so hard to display their radiance. Trying to let us know they exist before they disappear. I admire that simple, honest wish.
Hikigaya Hachiman: It's said that if you change, the world changes with you, but that's not true. When people evaluate others, it's through prejudice and existing impressions. People who are alone are pressured to stay alone. If they work hard to stand out in something, it only becomes ammo to use against them. That's the lousy rule of the world of kids. The question: The world does not change. One can change oneself. How, then, does one change? The answer: Become the god of a new world.
Do Hanzō.
Mifune: A sword that is continuously honed will gain renown and will be passed on. And... Men who cling to their convictions and defend them become heroes whose stories live on throughout the ages!
Fuyutsuki Kōzō: Destroying the world is only too easy. Rebuilding it is not so simple, however.
Kiedy czekał na śmierć dziewczyny.
Yagami Light: This is the longest 40 seconds of my life.
Hijikata Toshiro: If you can't guard a castle with this lot, it's a lost cause. But the strongest castle will fall without a fight if it's collapsing from the inside.
Do Alberta.
Peppo: If people could become friends simply by sharing bread and salt, life would be simpler.
Hrabia Monte Christo: I am now no longer alone in my solitude. For I am now surrounded by the Furies, the goddesses of vengeance. In the darkness, I awaited the dawn. And once dawn came, I cursed my flesh until night fell once more. I even prayed that I would lose my sanity. But those prayers went unheeded. I even strove for death, but the Devil's cold, pitiless hand held me back.
Do Alberta.
Eugénie Danglars: You love puttering around at a crawl with no destination in mind. Both behind the wheel and in life.
Jin: I cannot sacrifice another so that we might live.
Yomoda Chisa: There was no reason for me to stay in the real world any longer. In the real world, it didn't matter if I was there or not. When I realized that, I was no longer afraid of losing my body.
Mizuki Alice: If you aren't remembered, then you never existed.
Soldier Blue: No life can be lived by only choosing the good things.
Akoes: I sympathize with you robots who never need to eat or drink, or get to sleep with a woman.
Robot: I felt alive for the first time when I found out I was going to be ruined. Because there is death, there is life. Eternal robots finally became like humans by obtaining death. We should accept death like humans.
Nanahara Shūya: Monsters aren't born, Kawada... monsters are made!
Johan Liebert: It's not a rare thing to happen, when kids are born... Most of this universe is "death", anyways. To this universe, most lives are just specks in a corner of the earth, gone in a flash. Death is normal. Why are you alive? Because somebody wanted you? Who wanted you? What is your reason for living?
